5 Steps to An Organized Fridge

5 Steps to An Organized Fridge

I’m sure I’m not the only one who loves an organized refrigerator. Most of the time it just takes a little effort and a daily clean up to keep your fridge looking in tip top shape. I know I spend more time on other people’s blogs and Instagram pages then my own blog and it really got me charged to tackle the project like my inspirational bloggers who I love. I learned some things along the way that can help you too.

Our Staycation in Dallas

Last year before the kids went back to school, we decided to travel south 30 minutes and enjoy our last weekend before school started. We chose The Hilton Anatole in Dallas. We didn’t know what to expect, but upon arrival everyone was extremely helpful and it we knew we chose the right location.

When you pull into the parking lot area its a little confusing. A lot confusing actually. We knew we were staying there, but WHERE!? This place is so huge! We ended up finding what we thought was the main entrance, and thankfully, it was! We checked in and they informed us of the fun water park they had just renovated and we jumped with joy.

My love for a cheeseboard

You got me… Wine and Cheese. Is there really anything else our body needs? I love a good cheeseboard. They are so simple and can offer choices for everyone during a party or a Thursday night in front to the tv. This particular one, I used a creamy soft cheese with some apricot Jam poured over the top. I added some hummus and Pita chips for crunch, some butter crackers and colby jack for a harder cheese and some crisp green grapes for sweetness.

Using different levels and textures will add to the plate and gift it interest. Using grape leaves is a great idea too. So many options depending on what you love and possibly, what you have left in the fridge. Hopefully you will come up with a fun cheeseboard this weekend for Super Bowl Sunday! Get Creative!

Operation ‘Paint the Kitchen’

When we moved into this house a year ago, we of course were just so happy to have a home to live in, we didn’t care what it really looked like. We were fine with the yellow walls and the fake brick that wasn’t level, but I knew my Sherwin Williams paint would be on the walls soon. I absolutely love Anew Gray and with a little work, we’d be able to have a pretty kitchen. We can’t change the cabinets or paint them, but I love how it turned out.

Blush is the new black

It seems everywhere you look, the new color is blush. I love this new trend. It creates a breathe of fresh air after the Holiday and makes me wish for a little bit of spring. You can add little touches to your wardrobe, your decor, and even your food! It’s also perfect for Valentine’s Day which is right around the corner. The interior design world is using this fabulous color everywhere and I’m a little obsessed. I found some of my favorites for you too! Take a look.
